Pull Up a Chair (Welcome & Info)
Stories, Soul, and Showing Up
Hi, I’m Tairi Blair.
I write stories about the things that shape us—grief, faith, resilience, queer love, and the long, winding road to joy.
Hey, if you’ve made it here, thank you. That already means a lot.
This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s more like pulling up a chair to talk about real stuff—grief, healing, love, queerness, faith (in all its messiness), and how stories get us through.
I’m not here to give answers. I’m here to tell the truth the best I can. In fiction. In reflections. In little scenes that might sound like your life—or the one you’re still figuring out.
This space is for anyone who’s ever felt out of place and still showed up.
For the readers who light up at a line that cuts to the bone.
For the spiritual wanderers, the hopeful skeptics, the ones who love a good plot twist.
If that’s you? Welcome. Let’s make something honest together.
Why now?
Because stories have always been how I make sense of the world.
Because after years of caregiving, teaching, and just getting through the hard stuff, I’m finally giving writing the space it deserves.
Because I believe in the kind of stories that don’t flinch from the mess—grief, faith, longing, love—and still point toward hope.
And honestly? Because I want to build something real. A space where you can breathe a little deeper, maybe laugh, maybe cry, maybe feel seen.
That’s what I’m here for.
What kind of community I’m hoping to build
This isn’t just a newsletter—it’s a gathering space.
I’m creating a community for readers who crave meaning, connection, and beautiful, honest stories. If you’ve ever wrestled with grief, found comfort in unexpected places, questioned your faith but still longed for something sacred—or if you just love a well-told tale—this space is for you.
It’s also for fellow writers, readers, spiritual wanderers, and queer folks who want to explore love, hope, and identity through fiction and reflection. You don’t have to believe what I believe. You just have to believe that stories matter.
This will be a kind, thoughtful, queer-affirming, faith-expanding space. Think of it as a virtual campfire. No yelling, no dogma. Just stories and truth told in good company.
